For the sun in California it takes a outstanding durable hat to survive on the boat fishing, or on the golf course or maybe cutting the bushes outside, and this hat has those qualities. This is the 5th time I have purchased these hats and I never regret spending the money on them. They fit, they hold their shape, and they are washable. For my money these are the best all around hats for an active old man.
